This website GiveawayOfTheDay.com lets you download a paid software for free for 24 hours (or more depending on the agreement with the makers), a new software everyday. The software programs this site offers for free are Full licensed versions, which you would have to buy otherwise. They are no trial versions, nor do the programs have any limitations. This site also offers “Game Giveaways” at game.giveawayoftheday.com.

But there is a small problem. Famous website safety ratings company McAfee Site Advisor once gave red flag to this site. That means the site then offered some Adware, Virus, Spyware contained programs for download. And a couple of software programs offered on the site were said to be some rogue or spyware or adware contained programs. But here you have to understand one thing. That is McAfee SiteAdvisor ratings are based on the comments of the reviewers of the site. But when the Owners of the Giveawayoftheday.com site wrote a comment on the SiteAdvisor site that everything was fixed now and all the software are no adware free, McAfee has now given them Green Flag, which means safe to download stuff from the site. So, daily check the site and download whatever software you like, one everyday. And remember, the downloads are only available for 24 hours for a particular software program.

How to unblock a contact in Gtalk from Gmail?

If you are using Gtalk from your Gmail email account and blocked (accidentally or intentionally) a contact in the past and now want to unblock it, this tutorial may help you do that. Unblocking a contact in Gtalk via Gmail account is not easy if you don’t know how to do that.

OK, Now, Why should you block a contact in the first place. It may be because the person kept disturbing you even if you select the “Busy” red icon. Or you may have any other problems with them. So, Now back to how to unblock a person in Gtalk. If you are using Gtalk application directly (Gtalk messenger software, not using Gtalk from your Gmail account), you can just click in “Settings” on top right corner of the messenger window and see the list of “Blocked contacts” in the “Blocked” menu on left sidebar and then click on “Unblock” to easily unblock the contact.

But if you are using Gtalk from Gmail email account, then how to unblock the contact? To unblock a person from Gmail account you need to know their email address or their name. Type or Copy-Paste the name in the “Search field” (it is in the gtalk window of your Gmail account, right under “Contacts”) and when a small box pops up with setting for that contact, click on “Show in Chat List”. That’s it. Now you have unblocked him. Alternatively, you can also click on “Send offline chat” when that contact’s setting box pops up and then click on options in the chat window that pops up to find an option to “Unblock” the contact.

It is always better to go “Invisible” than block a contact if you are using Gtalk from your Gmail account. It is because Google deletes the contact details of the person from your friends list if you choose to Block the contact. Finally, I take it you know how to block a person. To block a contact, Hover your cursor on the contact and when a box pops up click on “More” and then select “Blocked”.

Watch Movies Online

If you go to Google and search “Watch Movies Online” you would get over nine millions of results. The number of results used to be low, but now going up at rapid speed. The reason for this is, almost all the netizens out there got used to watching movies online for free if they haven’t got the DVD of the movie they wish to watch. Whenver one feels like watching a movie, they just go to Google and type “Watch movies online”, “download movies online”, “Watch hollywood movies online” into the search box and then visit the sites that come up top on the Search Engine Results Pages.

And for the fact there is a lot of money to be made with these kind of websites, everyone that knows they can earn money with “Watch movies online” kind of websites, try their luck by setting up a website and posting movie links where they can watch or download movies. You can watch or download almost any new or any old movie on Internet these days. All you have to do is visit famous video sites like Youtube, Metacafe, Google video etc and search in the search box “***** movie part 1″, “watch **** movie” kind of searches and you would get many results, most of which possibly the movie you are trying to watch.

There is a site watch-movies.net (it comes first in Google for the search “watch movies online”, at least when I wrote this article). This site lists a couple of thousands of movies links, where you can go and watch the entire movies. Obviously, the videos are not hosted on their site but on famous video sites like Youtube, Google video, Tudou, Veoh etc. This site ads many new as well as old movie links to its database everyday. Watching movies or downloading them from sites like these comes under video piracy. But people got so used to watching movies and downloading music from the web from sites like those although they know it is illegal. Only god can save film studios from losing their revenue because of these kind of video sites.

Ponyo on the Cliff by the sea, Gake no ue no Ponyo

Gake no ue no Ponyo (2008, English title: Ponyo on the Cliff by the sea) is the latest film of Japanese Animation King Hayao Miyazaki, released under his Studio Ghibli. This film revolves around a 5-year-old boy and his relationship with a goldfish princess who longs to become human. This film has received so many good reviews and is rated high by many famous review websites as well as dailies. The film was released in Japan on 19th July, 2008.

“Ponyo on the Cliff by the sea” was said to be the last film of Hayao Miyazaki. The film was nominated for Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival. It has already collected over 10 billion Yen at the box office, in just over a month. If it continues to gross like this, by the end of the run of the film it’s likely wo break records. I have been waiting to watch this film, with no luck uptil now. Hopefully, I will get to watch this film soon. And I wish Miyazaki continues to direct some more good film for the anime fans.

Download Managers: Which download manager to use?

Download Managers are the ones which are used to download stuff (software, songs, movies) from Internet faster. There are many download managers available out there, most of which brag how fast they download stuff from the Internet (Of course, your Internet connection speed matters a lot here). Some of them are free ones and some of them are paid software. But which are the best download managers among them? Which download manager provides you with more features when you are downloading stuff from file hosting and sharing websites like rapidshare.com, Megashare.com, Filefactory.com, Sendspace.com etc.    ……coming soon

Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer or Opera or Netscape or K-Meleon or Safari?

Web browsers: There are a lot of web browsers available out there. Of all these there are a few famous web browsers which ensure safe web browsing and have many features to make Internet surfing a lot easier. In the past, there used to be only one famous web browser, the Internet Explorer from Microsoft, a default installation to all of the windows system. But it has changed a lot since then until now, owing to the introduction of many more secure and feature-packed web browsers to surf the Internet. But the sad fact is, still a large percentage of people don’t know about all these safe, secure and customizable browsers which actually make your surfing easier. Internet Explorer, in my opinion, is not so great and secure web browser anymore. Ok, But which browser is the best among all these Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera, Netscape, K-Meleon, Safari and many other small-time web browsers?                …………….coming soon

Which Password Manager do you use?

Password Manager is a software which is used to store your login details of a website (Username and password), your personal data safe. You can store all of your favorite websites’ login details using Password Managers safely and securely. There are many Password Managers available out there, both free and paid. Almost all of them use strong Algorithms and strong encryption to make sure your passwords and usernames are safe. But which one to choose?

Personally, I use Roboform password manager, a shareware (you can use it for free upto 10 passwords). Roboform is an excellent password manager and form filler. It uses strong encryption to make sure your passwords are safe and secure.

For free there are softwares like KeePass. KeePass is a free/open-source password manager which helps you to manage your passwords in a secure and easy way.

Another free one is Comodo i-Vault, an excellent password manager. It has got all the options to store all of your sensitive information.

Another one is Sticky Password manager, a shareware. It is an intelligent form filler and password management program. It remembers and automatically fills in login, password and other fields.
